Review: Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi

“Books are easily destroyed.
But words will live as long as people can remember them.”

Content:

Juliette is still haunted by her deadly touch. But now that she has teamed up with other rebels with powers of their own, she'll be able to fight back against The Reestablishment to save her broken world. With the help of these new allies, she'll also finally learn the secret behind Adam's—and Warner's—immunity to her killer skin.

Cover:

The cover is, same like the cover of the first book, very beautiful. I prefer these covers so much from the rest of the cover-versions.

My opinion:

This is the second part of the trilogy, so if you don’t want to be spoiled check out my review for the first book.
I already loved Shatter Me, but I enjoyed this book just so much more. But let’s start from the beginning: the writing-style. Same as in the first book, I absolutely loved the writing. It was so poetic and amazing, I can’t describe it. You have to read it in order to understand what I mean. Tahereh is truly the queen of words. The story also developed amazingly. I didn’t except the things which happened and the major plot-twist in the middle of the book (not going to spoil it though) was so unexpected and mind-blowing! What I loved most about this book were the characters and how they developed. I especially loved Kenji and the back-story of his life which we got to see a little bit in this novel. Aaron was amazing too, and after Destroy me you can’t just help but stick with him. The only character, who kind of annoyed me sometimes, was Juliette, because I just didn’t understand her thoughts or decisions sometimes. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the book really a lot!

 Conclusion:

A perfect sequel to the first book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

My rating:

5|5 stars
